LAS VEGAS RIDESHARE (UBER & LYFT) PASSENGER TIPS

  • Wearing your mask is optional.
  • There are so many drunk drivers in Las Vegas area including the airport and the strip. Wearing your seatbelt can save your life. Also, there are so many drivers who drive the wrong way down on a one way street in Las Vegas. Believe it or not, this happens very often.
  • Due to recent significant downgrades to insurance coverage & drivers fare payout system by Uber & Lyft, it can be much more difficult to find a driver depending on drivers and your situations and locations overall. Because of these recent changes, if you change your destination during the trip or you don’t add another stop before requesting the trip, drivers will most likely cancel or decline your request.
  • Most hotels and casinos on the strip and downtown have their own designated pick-up and drop off locations. If you are requesting Uber or Lyft, it is important that you are waiting or standing by at the right pick-up location. When in doubt, ask someone or follow the app even though it may not be 100% accurate. Communicate with your driver if possible.
  • It is important that you don’t request a vehicle along Las Vegas Blvd on the main strip due to safety concerns and police officers patrolling the area. Your app will most likely direct you to go to a designated hotel or casino pick-up location nearby.
  • You should always double check your app to make sure that you are requesting the vehicle to the correct location. Make sure that you don’t input your destination as your pick-up location. Your phone GPS is not always accurate due to a massive congestion of wireless signals.
  • If you are staying in Cosmo, Jockey Club, Aria, Waldorf, Crystal Shops, Vdara, Planet Hollywood, Bally’s, Cromwell, Linq, Harrah’s, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn & Encore and Resorts World areas, you might end up sending the driver to the wrong pick-up location if you don’t double check your app.
